We Scholarships Office are looking for an enthusiastic muscle physiologist interested in the mechanisms underlying skeletal muscle mitochondrial dysfunction in patients with chronic renal disease. This Scholarships Office project is funded by Mersey Kidney Research and will focus on the effects of kidney dysfunction on mitochondrial function in skeletal muscle fibres. You should have (or be about to obtain) a PhD in an appropriate subject and have experience of muscle physiology and cell biology techniques. The Scholarships Office post is available for 2 years. .
